In the first nine months of this year, the added value of all state-owned industrial enterprises and non-state industrial enterprises achieved 3877.5 billion yuan, an increase of 17 per cent or 0.5 percentage points higher than the same period of last year.
It is reported that the growth rate of heavy industry is higher than that of light industry. In the first three quarters, heavy industry increased by 18.5 per cent, 3.1 percentage points higher than light industry did. Enterprises invested by businessmen from foreign countries, HK SAR, Macao and Taiwan and joint-stock-system enterprises witnessed more rapid growth. The enterprises with foreign investment saw an increase of 20.3 per cent from January to September, which was higher than the same period of last year, and the joint-stock-system enterprises 17 per cent. The delivery value of industrial product exports maintained high growth rate. The accumulative export delivery value of the industrial enterprises was 2566.95 billion yuan or 32.6 per cent higher than the same period of last year. The connection between production and sales was relatively improved.
