China's first foreign-invested agriculture insurance company opens

The world agriculture insurance giant and the No.1 comprehensive insurer in Europe, France based Groupama-Gan holds an inauguration ceremony for its first subsidiary in China in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province on Oct 26. Meanwhile, Groupama-Gan, signs cooperative agreements coving credit load insurance, banking card business e-commerce and business exchanges with the Agricultural Bank of China.

After more than one year's preparation, Groupama-Ga has completed putting up a framework in Chengdu by which it will carry out non life insurance, including agriculture insurance. The company will establish sales network in villages to offer people living in rural area insurance service in an all-round way.
