At the invitation of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, Meles Zenawi, prime minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, will pay an official visit to China from October 31.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhang Qiyue made the announcement in Beijing Thursday.
