China should make efforts to promote advanced culture with advanced technologies in the future, said a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Friday evening when visiting a network culture expo.
Li Changchun, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee said the network-related culture industry has become a promising new segment among various culture industries, and China should grasp the opportunity to develop it.
"We should encourage research and development of network-related cultural products featuring national, innovative and healthy contents so as to create a sound environment for the general public, youngsters in particular," he said.
The strategy for the information industry should be integrated with that for the cultural industry, and the network industry should be guided to integrate with the content industry, he said.
He said that only in this way can the network and information industries realize further development.
"We should create favorable conditions and policies for enterprises to develop China's own network-related cultural products and push them out onto the world stage," he said.
