A Malaysian young man was charged in Singapore on Monday with the murder of a Chinese girl student Huang Na, who is believed to be killed early last month.

Took Leng How, a 22-year-old vegetable seller, was accused of causing Huang Na's death.

Huang Na, 8, was reported missing in a vegetable wholesale center since October 10. On Sunday, the Singapore police found a badly decomposed body of a girl, believed to be that of Huang Na, in a park.

The discovery came following Took gave himself up to the policeon Saturday.

The Singapore police had questioned Took before he fled the island state on Oct. 21.

The police said that there is no suggestion of any other accomplices so far, but investigations are still underway.
