Blast rocks southwestern Pakistani city

A bomb exploded near the secretariat of provincial chief executive in the Pakistani southwestern city of Quetta on Tuesday, but there was no report ofany casualty, local media said.

The blast at 10:15 a.m. local time smashed glasses of the secretariat and nearby buildings, News Network International reported.

Jam Muhammad Yousaf, Chief Minister of Balochistan, of which Quetta is provincial capital, was not in the office at the time ofthe blast.

No group has claimed responsibility for the blast and the blastis under investigation.

The security forces had blocked all routes leading to the venueof the blast, the report said.

Offices of senior government officials are located in the area.
