CSRC: Listed companies must disclose share dividend report
font size

China's stock market watchdog says it will make a regulation telling listed companies to disclose their share dividend reports.

The China Securities Regulatory Commission says it will require companies to write their profit distribution methods into their constitutions or give reasons for zero or low dividends in their quarterly reports.

The CSRC says it will also encourage dividends to be paid in cash to better protect investors.

Some listed companies have been reluctant to pay share dividends. This has seriously handicapped the development of China's stock market and indicates the immaturity of some companies' management.
