Beijing Olympics security budget to be implemented next year

The security budget for the Beijing Olympic Games is to be published and implemented next year. At an Athens Olympics debriefing in Beijing, vice Mayor of Beijing Liu Jinming said the Beijing municipal government and the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee are doing some research in this regard, including learning from the Athens Olympics.

The security budget will include two parts, one is for security work and the other is for public hygiene and epidemic prevention.

The security budget for the Athens Olympics was 1.2 billion US dollars.
