Beijing addresses food safety
font size

Beijing food safety inspectors yesterday started a week-long visit to the city's construction sites to teach workers basic protection against food poisoning.

A survey shows that green beans are the biggest cause of food poisoning on the city's construction sites because they are often not properly cooked.

The inspectors are distributing 100,000 free pamphlets containing ways to prevent food poisoning and improve dietetic hygiene.
