The China Translation Achievements Exhibition opens on Thursday in Beijing. This is the first professional exhibition of its kind in the world.

The four-day exhibition is hosted by China Foreign languages Press and Translators Association, China Radio International reported on Thursday.

The exhibition includes translation works and gives insight into the translation industries relations with the media and Internet, the evaluation and training of translation personnel, and trade disciplines.

The exhibition features many objects and pictures to showcase achievements made by Chinese translators.

In another development, China's first trade standard on translation quality is expected to be completed soon.
