Grain output in Yunnan to exceed 15 billion kilograms

Grain output in southwest China's Yunnan province is expected to exceed 15 billion kilograms this year, setting a new record in history.

While implementing CPC's No.1 document, Yunnan provincial Party committee and government timely published 12 policies and regulations supporting grain production. Through the six measures to make households known, including publicizing policies, cultivating areas, agricultural technological services, making good on grain subsidy, agricultural tax reduction and increasing grain output and farmers' income, which effectively guides farmers to grow more grain and improve the quality of grain. As a result, the grain-sowing area increased by 1million mu or 0.99 million hectares than that of last year.
