font size

The world's leading machinery manufacturer, Beumer of Germany, is investing heavily in Shanghai to build an Asia-Pacific manufacturing base.

The first phase of the base will cost of 5 million US dollars and is due to be launched soon.

Once the base becomes operational, in August next year, annual turnover in China is expected to reach 30 million US dollars in two to three years.

Of the products manufactured in China, 80 per cent will be sold on the China market and 20 per cent in European and other markets.

The second phase is expected to be launched in three to five years with an additional investment of 3.6 million US dollars.

It's believed that Beumer has already received preorders of 8.5 million US dollars from the China market.

Beumer is one of the world's five leading companies in the fields of conveying, loading, packaging and distribution technology.
