font size

With two 500-kw transformer substations going into operation in Buridu and Hanhai, the grid construction in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region this year steps onto a new stage: the construction of five 500-kv power transmission and transformation projects, 48 220-kv power transmission and transformation projects. The annual investment in grid construction reaches 7.8 billion yuan, equivalent to the sum total of grid construction investment in Inner Mongolia Autonomous region since the founding of the People's Republic of China

Currently, the total electricity installed capacity in Inner Mongolia amounts to over 11 million kw, the largest in China's minority areas. Meanwhile, this autonomous region is also the base for the northern passageway of China's "west to east power transmission project".
