State councilor meets Croatian guest

Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan met in Beijing Tuesday with Branko Vukelic, minister of Economy,Labor and Entrepreneurship of Croatia.

The two exchanged views on the expansion of bilateral cooperation and other issues of common concern.

Tang said the Chinese government attaches great importance to cooperation with Croatia in all fields, understands and respects Croatia's efforts to choose the development mode in accordance with its actual situation and to participate in the European integration.

He said China is willing to push forward its economic cooperation and trade with Croatia, hoping the two countries will strengthen exchanges and bring the role of their mixed committee for economic cooperation and trade into full play, explore more convenient ways for expanding trade and investment.

Vukelic also spoke highly of Croatia-China relations, saying Croatia will stick to the one-China policy and make new efforts to promote bilateral cooperation.
