Briton killed in northern Philippine city

A Briton was killed when he was attacked by three unidentified Filipinos in the northern Philippine city, police said Tuesday.

The victim, identified as David Charles Loxton, was stabbed to death in Angeles city, Pampanga province, when he and his 12 year-old daughter stood outside a grocery late Saturday.

According to police, Loxton, who was a long-term resident in the city and married a Filipina, had a heated argument with the three before died, while his daughter was unharmed.

Two suspects, including a neighbor of the dead, have been arrested and another one is still at large, police said.

In another fatal case involving foreigners, a Japanese was drowned after he had gone scuba-diving off the central Philippine resort island of Cebu, police said.

It said that the 25-year-old Masahiro Kajita was found dead Tuesday by fishermen in the town of Cordova.

Police said that they are still searching for the companion of the victim, Chehiro Nawa, 20, who has been missing after diving.
