Officials meet Hungarian guest

Gu Xiulian, vice chairwoman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), and Wang Zhongyu, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), respectively met with Vice President Mandur Laszlo of the National Assembly of Hungary in Beijing Wednesday.

In meeting with the guest, Gu said China and Hungary enjoy traditional friendship,

and the bilateral relations of cooperation have witnessed satisfying progress since the establishment of diplomatic ties 55 years ago.

Gu expressed China's willingness to push forward the bilateral relations to a new stage with joint effort with Hungary.

The China-Hungary relations have been moving forward smoothly with frequent high-level exchanges in recent years, Wang said, noting the two countries are carrying more active exchanges and cooperation in various fields. He expressed wish for further development of China-Hungary friendly partnership of cooperation.
