China and Barbados have maintained cooperation in politics, economy, culture and education since the establishment of diplomatic relations 27 years ago, said Chinese Vice-Premier Wu Yi in Beijing Friday during talks with Deputy Prime Minister of Barbados Mia Mottley.
"The two countries have witnessed frequent high-level exchanges,stable development of bilateral trade, fruitful achievement in economic and technological cooperation and good cooperation in multilateral field," she said.
Wu spoke highly of Barbados's adherence to the one-China policy. She said as developing countries, China and Barbados are devoted their efforts to economic development and the promotion of people's living standards.
The two economies supplement each other, and China is willing to further friendly cooperation with Barbados, enhance exchanges, explore new ways and new areas for developing economic and trade cooperation, and enhance exchanges and cooperation in tourism and international affairs, she said.
Mottley said the Barbados government supports the one-China policy and will enhance friendly cooperation with China.Mottley came to visit China at Wu Yi's invitation.
