Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met with Barbados Deputy Prime Minister Mia A. Mottley in Beijing Friday afternoon.

During their meeting in the Great Hall of the People, Wen and Mottley exchanged views on the relations between China and Barbados.

Mottley arrived here Thursday evening for an 8-day visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi. She will also visit Xi'an in northwest China and Shanghai in east China.

Barbados is a country occupying the easternmost island of the West Indies. It established diplomatic relations with China in 1977.
