Russia denies Georgia statements about interference
font size

The Russian Foreign Ministry has denied Georgia's statements that Russia interferes in its internal affairs.

Tbilisi addressed the reproaches to Moscow in the Georgian Foreign Ministrys statement in connection with the developments in Abkhazia.

Georgian Ambassador in Moscow Valery Chechelashvili handed over the written statement in the Russian Foreign Ministry on Saturday.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Valery Loshchinin rejected such statements as absolutely groundless, the ministerial information and press department said.

At the same time, Russia for understandable reasons cannot help feeling serious concern over the growing tension in Abkhazia resulting from destructive forces' actions and their attempts to take power by force.
