China's top political advisor prioritizes on promotion of development
font size

Promoting development is a primary task of political advisory bodies at all levels and united front departments, chairman of China's top political advisory body Jia Qinglin said in his study tour of southwestern Chongqing municipality from Nov. 10 to 15.

Jia, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), also called for implementing the scientific development concept in all spheres of work during the tour.

The scientific concept of development represents an essential thought on development adopted by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) that underscores putting humans first and promoting all-round, coordinated and sustainable development.

In addition, Jia urged doing a good job relating to the relocation of residents at and around the site of the gigantic Three Gorges Project, and cited the project of displacing approximately one million local residents a move unparalleled in Chinese history.
