China welcomes that Iran decided to voluntarily suspend all its uranium enriching and reprocessing activities and reached an agreement with the European Union in this regard, a foreign ministry spokesperson said.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue made the remark here Tuesday at a regular press conference, when asked to comment on an Iran-EU agreement on suspending Iranian uranium enriching and reprocessing activities on 15th of this month.
Zhang said China has always advocated the proper solution of the Iranian nuclear issue through negotiation and made positive efforts to this end. "China will continue to play a constructive role to this end," she emphasized.
"We appreciate the diplomatic efforts made by Iran, the European Union, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and other parties concerned," she said.
