Liu Yunshan, publicity chief of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met Tuesday with visiting Executive Secretary of the Moldovan Party of Communists (MPC) Victor Stepaniuc.

Liu, also member of the Political Bureau and the Secretariat of CPC Central Committee highly praised the efforts made by MPC in maintaining domestic stability and promoting economic development.

He also briefed Stepaniuc on the political, economic and social development of China as well as principles of the 4th plenary session of the 16th CPC Central Committee.

Stepaniuc spoke highly of the great achievements made by China through reform and opening up.

The MPC will actively enhance the friendly and cooperative relations with the CPC as well as bilateral ties, he said.
