Senior CPC official meets Cambodian guest

Liu Yunshan, publicity chief of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met Tuesday with a Cambodian delegation headed by Say Chhum, a senior official with the Cambodian People's Party (CPP).

Liu, also member of the Political Bureau and the Secretariat of CPC Central Committee, said the Sino-Cambodian friendly relations is a result out of joint efforts and careful cultivation by leaders and peoples of the two countries. China values its traditional friendship with Cambodia and will always endeavor to develop a good neighborly friendship.

Say Chhum said Cambodia is a friendly neighbor to China, and the two peoples enjoyed a long-history of friendly contact. The CPP and CPC have maintained friendly relationship by helping and supporting each other.

Liu also briefed the guest the domestic situation of China as well as the 4th plenary session of the 16th CPC Central Committee.
