Zhou Tienong, vice-chairman of China's top advisory body, met with a delegation of German, US and Russian experts on security policy Tuesday.
Zhou, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), briefed the guests on his country's economic and social situation, and conferred with them on affairs related to regional and international security.
The delegation, visiting China at the invitation of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, was led by Rudolf Scharping, member of the German Federal Assembly, former German defense minister and former chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Germany.
The German delegation also attends the on-going fourth Chinese-German Symposium on International Security slated for Nov. 16 to 17.
