As learned from Ministry of Commerce for the first 10 months of the year China's trade volume for hi-tech products valued 259.3 billion USD, an year-on-year increase of 43.9 percent. Hi-tech exports for the whole year is expected to reach 160 billion USD, 50 billion USD higher than the last year.
Specifically, China exported 128.34 billion USD from January to October this year, which was 18 billion USD more than the total of last year and a staggering jump of 51.9 percent over the first 10 months of last year. Hi-tech exports accounted for 27.4 percent of the total exports from China.
The Ministry of Commerce attributed the fast growth of hi-tech exports to the policy of "boosting the foreign trade with science and technology". Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi gave an important speech at the conference specially held for implementing the policy in Beijng at the beginning of the year. Trade fairs for software and hi-tech were successfully held in Dalian and Shenzhen respectively this year. And government departments have beefed up their coordination and support.
The demand of the world market for Chinese hi-tech products is also increasing. And tax rebate rates for 97 kinds of hi-tech exports keep intact in the new tax rebate system which financially gives more energy to hi-tech exporters.
