Chinese Premier to visit Laos: FM spokesperson

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao will make an official visit to the Lao People's Democratic Republic from Nov. 28-30, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhang Qiyue told a regular press conference Thursday.

The visit is arranged at the invitation of Prime Minister Boungnang Vorachith of Lao, Zhang noted.

During his visit, Wen will also attend the Eighth Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Plus China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) Summit, the China-ASEAN Summit and the Sixth China, Japan and the ROK Summit. All three will be held in Vientiane, the capital of Laos.
