More Chinese workers join overseas labor marketTaking the advantage of job opportunities on the overseas market can help to ease down the pressure on the domestic labor market, said Mr. Wang Dongjin, Vice Minister of Labor and Social Security. He revealed that 525,000 Chinese had found jobs through legal recruitment on the overseas market by the end of 2003. The number of Chinese employees working on the overseas market was 15.6 times as many as that in 1982 when 31,600 Chinese workers held positions on the overseas market. This is the result of an annual increase of 14.3 percent. He thought overseas job opportunities made it possible for the labor force from the Chinese mainland to participate into the flow and competition of the international human resources. In the mean time, he said, overseas Chinese workers had chances of making better money and sharpening their skills. By People' s Daily Online |
