HKPC collaborates with Changchun, Shenzhen to foster technological developmentThe Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) Thursday with the Economic Committee of Changchun (ECC) in northeast China to establish a "Changchun-Hong Kong Productivity Promotion Center"(CC-HKPPC). An agreement was also signed between the Productivity (Shenzhen) Consulting Co., a subsidiary of HKPC, and the Shenzhen Productivity Center (SZPC) to establish the SZ-HK Productivity Foundation Company Ltd. Under the MOU, HKPC and ECC will jointly organize the "Changchun-Hong Kong Productivity Promotion Center" to provide integrated support to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises in both cities ranging from technology upgrading, product development, business management to human resources development. K K Yeung, Executive Director of HKPC, said that "the establishment of the 'Changchun-Hong Kong Automotive R&D Productivity Platform' will be a major target under the CC-HKPPC to provide a channel to facilitate technological research and development with a focus on the automotive and related industries between Hong Kong and Changchun." Commenting on the agreement between the Productivity (Shenzhen) Consulting Co. and SZPC to establish the SZ-HK Productivity Foundation Company Ltd., Yeung said the company will support the development of Hong Kong and Mainland small and medium-sized enterprises in technology innovation, CEPA business opportunities, information services, management and training, and product promotion. |
