A car bomb hit a convoy of five Iraqi police vehicles in central Baghdad on Friday, killing at least two people and wounding five others, witnesses and police said.
The blast took place at the Zayouna neighborhood on the east bank of Tigris river, killing at least two people and wounding five others, police said.
A plume of black smoke could be seen rising from the site of the blast, said witnesses, adding that ambulances rushed to the scene to transfer killed and wounded people to Kindi Hospital.Iraq's police and security forces have been frequent targeted by insurgents.
