Chinese Finance Minister Jin Renqing Sunday called for respect for various development ways and a more rational and fair order in the world economy.
Addressing the 6th ministerial meeting of the G20 held in Berlin, Jin said international cooperation is vital for more balanced and stable world economic growth.
Jin briefed the participants on China's macro-economic control, energy policy, and its efforts to reduce poverty and promote competition and more effective distribution of resources.
In an interview with Chinese reporters on the sideline of the weekend G20 meeting, Jin said, "As the G20 consists of industrialized and main emerging economies, it can provide a good platform for discussing economic policy coordination."
The G20, which was founded in Berlin in 1999, accounts for 90 percent of the world economy and two-thirds of the population.
Jin rebuffed the allegation that the skyrocketing oil price in the world market in recent months was a result of China's quick economic growth, saying there was no direct linkage.
He also said the G20 members have reached an agreement in principle to exchange tax information in order to counter international tax evasion.
The G20, which comprises major industrialized nations and the main emerging economies such as China, Brazil and India, is a forum for international economic and financial issues.
