Sources from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce say the country's exporters are facing more and more dumping charges from foreign countries and regions, reported CCTV.com on Tuesday.

They add that this has become a major obstacle for cost-competitive Chinese exporters in exploring the international market.

Fair trade officials were speaking at a seminar on Monday on relief measures. Besides anti-dumping investigations, foreign countries and regions are also using anti-subsidy and special measures to blockade cheaper products made in China.

Officials warn that more sectors are likely to be affected by such forms of unfair trade barriers, with textile, mechanical and electrical equipment bearing the brunt of the attack.

Figures show that, since 1979, more than 34 countries and regions across the world have launched a total of 673 foreign trade safeguard investigations against China. As a result, the country has lost nearly 20-billion US dollars in export revenue.
