Four European countries have provided Uganda with a total of 7 million euros (9 million US dollars) in support for its public services reform programs, reported Radio Uganda on November 26.

The four countries are Britain, Denmark, Ireland and Austria.

Permanent Secretary to the Treasury Chris Kassami and Permanent Secretary to Public Services J. R. Rwamafa signed on behalf of the Ugandan government while head of Development Cooperation of Ireland (DCI) Liz Higgins signed on behalf of the four donor countries at the Ministry of Finance on Friday.

Speaking at the function, Kassami said the assistance is aimed at enhancing the capacity of public services, monitoring policies for socio-economic transformation and improving the employees' motivation and morals.
