People in Shanghai will now be able to enjoy animation anywhere anytime on their mobile phones.

From next month, China Unicom in Shanghai, will broadcast animated images on their CDMA1X network, China Radio International reported Sunday.

The network could provide faster data sending and multi-media functions at a cheaper rate than mobile phone TV.

Insiders forecast that the number of animation mobile phone users will reach 100 million, about 20 percent of the total handset market.
