Chinese Football Association sends team to Germany for training
News conference was held for the Chinese "08 Star Team" in Beijing on Nov. 29. The "08 Star Team" plan is one of the measures taken by Chinese Football Association to cultivate first-rate athletes for Beijing's 2008 Olympic Games. The team will leave for Bad Kissingen, Germany on Dec. 8 for a two-year-long training.

Ancient bazaar ready to open after reconstuction
Tourists stroll along Sideng Street in the Shaxi Town of Jianchuan County, southwest China's Yunnan Province on Nov. 28, 2004. Shaxi Town is an ancient town on the Tea-Horse Ancient Road ("Cha Ma Gu Dao" in Chinese), a historic trade route linking Tibet and southeastern Asia. The Jianchuan government signed a memorandum on the reconstruction of the site with the Switzerland Technological University in 2002, aiming to recover the prosperity of the ancient bazaar in the town. As the first phase of the reconstruction project has been completed, the ancient bazaar is ready to open to tourists.
