Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara condemned on Monday the Israeli policy of destruction against the Palestinians, the official SANA news agency reported.

"The Israeli occupation authorities have converted their army into gangs that practice war crimes and systemized killings against the Palestinian civilians," said Shara.

The minister made the remarks in a message to the Chairman of the ad hoc Committee on Unalienable Palestinian People Rights on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People,which falls on Monday.

Shara also called on the international community to assume responsibility and exert more efforts to stop Israel's daily massacres against the Palestinian people and stop the Israeli violations of the international conventions.

He reiterated Syria's commitment to a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
