font size

Visiting Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on Tuesday talked with Samane Vignaket, president of the Lao National Assembly, on bilateral relations.

The Chinese government values its relations with Laos and China's friendly policy towards Laos will not change no matter how the international situation changes, said Wen.

China will step up its cooperation with the Lao National Assembly and make concerted efforts with Laos so as to push forward the long-term stable, good-neighborly and mutually trustful relations, said Wen.

Wen also congratulated Samane on the successful holding of the 10th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit.

Congratulating Wen on his successful visit to Laos, Samane said Wen's visit would boost the bilateral cooperation greatly.

Samane noted that the National Assembly will make further efforts to enhance the bilateral ties, adding that Laos is grateful for the assistance from China and China's assistance is indispensable to the successful holding of the ASEAN summit.
