China issues anti-dumping ruling on chloroform
font size

China's Ministry of Commerce has issued an anti-dumping ruling against Chloroform imports from European Union, South Korea, the United States and India. The Ministry made the final ruling on Tuesday, saying that the product has caused essential damage to domestic industry, China Radio International reported Wednesday.

According to the ruling, China will levy tariff on imported Chloroform from EU, South Korea, the United States and India by up to 96 percents within the next five years.

But five companies which have signed price commitment agreements with the Ministry will be exempted from the tariff.

China launched the anti-dumping investigation on the imported Chloroform last May and issued the primary ruling this April with a decision to take temporary anti-dumping measures against the products from the affected countries.

The final ruling will take effect from Tuesday.
