font size

The United States has failed in its attempt to isolate the island, Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez said Tuesday.

Washington was not able to crush the humanistic and solidary spirit of Cuba, which has established diplomatic and consular ties with 181 members of the United Nations, Perez said at the inauguration ceremony of the provisional Museum of the Revolution Diplomacy of Cuba.

He said about 17,000 students from 110 countries are studying in Cuba, which also provided civil assistance to some Third World countries.

Cuba has 109 embassies abroad and 95 foreign missions in Havana, including 10 international organizations, Perez added.

The provisional museum showcased the diplomatic achievements of the Cuban Revolution.
