To further consolidate and develop China-Slovenia friendly relationship is of fundamental interests of the two countries and their people, said He Luli, vice-chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), Wednesday.

During her meeting with Janez Susnik, chairman of the National Council of the Slovenian assembly, and other Slovenian guests, He Luli said China endeavors to build a well-off society in an all-round way and Slovenia is also trying to develop its national economy and improve its people's life. China is willing to push forward friendly ties with Slovenia, she added.

Parliamentary contact is an important part of state-to-state relations, she said, adding that the Chinese NPC and the Slovenian assembly enhanced their friendly contact in recent years, with a view to strengthening communication and cooperation.
