Kuchma says to support new presidential election rather than fresh runoff vote: Interfax
font size

Ukraine's outgoing president Leonid Kuchma said on Wednesday he advocates an entire new presidential election, rather than a rerun of the disputed second round, the Interfax news agency reported.

"Any rerun would simply be a farce," Kuchma was cited as saying at a government meeting. "I never supported it because it is unconstitutional."
