font size

Somali Prime Minister Ali Mohammed Gedi announced members of his new government in Kenyan capital Nairobi on Wednesday, moving a substantial step toward ending the 13-year civil war in the Horn of Africa country.

In a ceremony held Wednesday afternoon in the Kenyatta International Conference Center in downtown Nairobi, the prime ministers announced 27 ministers of the 31-member cabinet.

According to reliable sources, candidates for the other four ministerial posts are "still under negotiation." The four posts include ministers for security and immigration, education and Interior.
