Pakistan-India secretary-level talks rescheduled

Talks between foreign secretaries of Pakistan and India have been rescheduled to Dec. 27-28 from Dec.23-24, local media in Islamabad reported on Thursday.

The meeting was replanned on India's request, The Dawn newspaper quoted Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesman Masood Khan as saying.

The spokesman, however, did not state the reasons offered by the Indian side.

Pakistan and India, the two arch-rivals in South Asia, have been engaged in a peace dialogue since February this year. The first round of talks ended in September.

The forthcoming December meeting will look at overall progress on key issues including the Kashmir dispute.
