Singapore, Chinese firms can make win-win partnership: official
font size

A Singapore official said Friday that joint ventures between Singapore enterprises and Chinese firms can create win-win partnership.

Minister for Transport Yeo Cheow Tong made this remark at a businessmen gathering held here on Friday.

Yeo said that many Singapore companies have successfully penetrated the China market by establishing partnership via investment in Chinese enterprises, supporting global customers as they expand into China, and banding together as a group to overcome shortcomings such as size or service offerings.

On the other hand, Yeo added, Singapore's unique location, long history as an international trading hub and its sufficient operating environment can provide Chinese enterprises with the ideal gateway to expand into regional and global markets.

"The favorable growth conditions in China and the entire regionoffer many opportunities for Singapore and Chinese enterprises to work together," Yeo said.
