Sixty percent of French youth for homosexual marriageA total of 60 percent of French youth from 18 to 35 are for the homosexual marriage, according to a survey published on Friday. The survey made by BVA Institute in May with 647 persons, 33 percent are against the homosexual marriage and 7 percent had no opinion. The vice-mayor of the city of Begles (south-west France),Noel Mamere, had launched a debate by celebrating the first homosexual marriage in France on June 15. The survey also showed that the majority of French young people hope to marry, even though they don't consider the institution as much important as 20 years ago. To 83 percent of the questioned people, marriage remains an engagement for life, and 63 percent have intention to marry, and only 15 percent will merely come to conclude a "civil pact of solidarity" to live their common life. And 56 percent will marry by love, 28 percent to found a family,9 percent consider the marriage as "making a great Day" and 5 percent by religious conviction. As to details of the wedding, 66 percent of women would like to have a long traditional wedding dress, while 64 percent of men would like to buy "a specific suit for the wedding".
