Sometimes there appears a feeling that there is a certain connection between a country in the international society and a person in the human society. "Human is the summation of all social relations''. Human beings will have to face a variety of contradictions and problems in doing with social relations. As a person it is no doubt that there is a subject consciousness centered on self. But as a person in the society there is a comparatively objective survey between ego and others. It is also true for a country. A country must make an objective analysis on the world where it is situated with all international relations, ascertain advantages and disadvantages and make sure what is important before having a decision.

In the present political ecosystem in the world people catch sight of the state and situation of multi-elemental value, shortage of consensus, strength imbalance and disorganized order. At the same time, the momentum of economic globalization is still strong. China has made success in tune with times, achieving outstanding development in economic society. So the national interests of China have been increased extensionally and have much relativity with the world situation and international structure.

Facing a changing world, it is very important for China to consider the situation and to know both her opponent and herself.

Firstly only by knowing herself can China make herself strong. It must be clearly aware of that it is fundamental for China to do a good job at home, which is a basis for all its foreign actions. It is the capability to do things that can change the external world instead of desires, big talk and sensibility. So-called development, in essence is the development of human ability, not just industrial production. It must be noticed that in the world's production chains we are still situated in the low-end layers; there are many reforms need to be done in social organizational stratum; when building new civilization, culture and value with the times' characteristics we are still under exploration and takeoff; as an only ancient country with undisrupted culture China is rich in historic and human resources. The problem lies on being good at application with open psychology.

Secondly it must be good at knowing others. In the past, it was from the military angle that people wanted to know the opponent. So there is an old saying like this: know the enemy and know yourself, and you can fight a hundred battles with no danger of defeat. Today there is a broader and more constructive angle for knowing others. It is not only necessary for China's civilized construction and resurgence to study and understand the cultures of various countries more widely and lave cultural quintessence of all mankind, but also for dealing with foreign relations well and for ironing out so-called civilized conflicts.

In the present world, China is either in need of a stable international order or requires the reform of the existing international order. Some call it as "delicate ��' situation. As a matter of fact, in the development process of human society, there has been always a double demand of "maintenance'' and "innovation''. If without the former there will be long-term turbulence in the society and if without the latter there will stagnation in the society. In dealing with international affairs, China can do both of them and keep balance in managing the double demand and make the demand favorable to self-development.

As for China today, it is the most required for China to have a spirit of strictly avoiding flippancy, seeking no name and steady perseverance to improve their national strength. Only by doing so can China win initiative in coping with complicated international situation.
