Leading officials of Macao SAR appointed

China's State Council, or the central Chinese government, has appointed leading officials and the prosecutor general of the Public Prosecutions Office for the second-term office of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR).

Following is a list of the appointments:

Florinda da Rosa Silva Chan - Secretary for Administration and Justice;

Francis Tam Pak Yuen - Secretary for Economy and Finance;

Cheong Kuoc Va - Secretary for Security;

Fernando Chui Sai On - Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture;

Ao Man Long - Secretary for Transport and Public Works;

Cheong U - Commissioner Against Corruption;

Fatima Choi Mei Lei - Commissioner of Audit;

Jos Proenca Branco -- Commissioner General of the Unitary Police Service;

Choi Lai Hang -- Director-General of the Macao Customs and;

Ho Chio Meng - Prosecutor General of the Public Prosecutions Office.

The State Council made the appointments on Dec. 4 in accordance with the Macao SAR Basic Law and based on the nominations of Macao SAR Chief Executive Edmund Ho Hau Wah.
