China's PPI up 8.1 percent over last November

China's Producer price index (PPI) grew 8.1 percent in November year-on-year, a 0.3 percentage point drop from October's growth rate, according to a report released by China's National Bureau of Statistics Friday.

The purchase price of raw materials, fuel and power jumped 13.7 percent year-on-year with increasing rate down 0.5 percentage point than that in October, leading the average increase to 11.4 percent in these sectors from January to November in 2004, the report says.

The PPI for production means was up 10.7 percent over last November and down 0.2 percent from October.

The PPI grew 5.9 percent in the first 11 months of this year, the report shows.
