A Kuwaiti minister said Friday the Future Forum Conference to be held on Sunday in Rabat, Morocco, "is a chance for Arab countries to discuss the Arab League's resolutions on reforms", the Kuwait News Agency reported.

Before leaving Kuwait for the conference, Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Sabah said in a statement that "as Arab countries, we aim to further cooperate with all countries in the world to develop our educational and economic systems", noting that "no country can realize economic reforms unilaterally".

Sheikh Mohammad noted that "major countries should open their markets to the developing countries' products", noting that "our talks with the European Union (EU) focuses on opening the European markets to our main products, such as petrochemicals and oil products, and the EU should help us in this concern".

He added that "the United States desires having separate economic agreements with each and every Gulf Cooperation Council(GCC) member state", noting that "the GCC countries have signed an agreement to individually establish free-trade zones with the US".

On education, the minister said "we need to establish cooperation with the international scientific research centers, especially in the industrial field", noting that "it's time for reforms, and education is the path to achieve it".

Regarding the visit of Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization Mahmoud Abbas (or Abu Mazen) to Kuwait, Sheikh Mohammad said that "there are no problems between Kuwait and the Palestinian people, as Kuwait has continuously supported the Palestinian cause".

He added, "We are waiting for the visit of Abu Mazen to hear from him the latest developments in Palestine, as we are concerned about supporting the Palestinian issue.
