Wang Manli wins women's 500m at World Cup speedskating

Chinese veteran Wang Manli beat her injuries to take the women's 500m title in the World Cup speedskating leg in Harbin, capital city of northeast China��s Heilongjiang Province on December 11.

Wang, who sustained her injuries from the preceding Japan leg, clocked in her winning time of 38.73 seconds. Belarus' Kotyuga Anzhelika finished second in 38.85, ahead of Japanese Osuga Sayuri n 38.87.

Znzhelika also won the women's 1,000m title in 1:18.16, where Chinese Wang finished fifth in 1:18.80. Rempel Shannon of Canada finished second in 1:18.48 and Italian Simionato Chiara third in 1:18.60.

After winning the 500m title, Wang hoped to gain more experiences for a great moment in the coming Turin Winter Olympics in 2006.
