China's oil products retail market opens up

Today, China's oil products retail market opened up to overseas companies in agreement with the W.T.O. The Commerce Ministry has issued a set of provisions governing the management of the oil products retail market.

This regulates procedures and deadlines relating to the application and approval process, as well as relevant responsibilities. Provisions will take effect on January the 1st next year.

The wholesale market will be opened up in two years' time.
